The race will begin and end at the Martin Luther King Memorial Park at the foot of the Edmund Pettis Bridge, Selma, AL. Runners will be treated to a Meet & Greet Brunch and Award Ceremony at the Not Your Usual Health Fair being held at Wallace Community College. Brunch will be served in the Hank Sanders Conference Room at 11 am.

Race Day registration begins 6:15 AM and closes at 7:00 AM

WHY

The MJ93-90 Foundation’s mission is to educate kids on the importance of capitalizing on their talents and abilities. We do this through offering various educational and technological programs to increase their awareness. They learn the benefits of proper nutrition and exercise for healthier bodies and ways to avoid obesity, diabetes and heart disease. We also strive to mentor and encourage them on how to be successful members of the community.

Packet Pick Up:

Early packet pick up will be available Friday March 15th, at the Selma YMCA from 2 – 7 PM. You may also pick up packets on the day of the race at Martin Luther King Park at the foot of the Edmund Pettis Bridge.

AWARDS:

For adults, the top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers will win medals. Medals will also be awarded to the top finishers in youth categories:10 and under, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19

Timing: The 5K Run will be professionally timed. Personal results
will be available immediately and overall standings as soon as the
race ends. The 1mile race will not be timed.
